WHO, WHAT, WHY?

Greetings, and thank you for taking a chance with a potential train wreck. So first, a bit about myself, what to expect and why I chose to embark on this project.

Joel Walbert is my real name. I will not be hiding my identity. This fight is noble, only cowards hide their identity and I want the demons waging battle on humanity to see the face of their adversary. And I hope to instill trust in my eventual readers by not hiding behind a pseudonym and anonymous profile pictures. What you see is what you get, and as for the surveillance state, fuck em. If you ain’t on at least five or six lists by now, you probably wouldn’t be reading this.

Expect the unexpected…

This project is actually 20+ years in the making. I had originally conceived it after finishing IT school circa 2000. Truth Addict was even the original name (taken from a Rage Against the Machine lyric, yea yea I know what they have become and its quite the disappointment). Well, it got put on hold when life happened. Priorities needed to be made and it got put aside. Well, once again, life happened (more on that in the next section) and put me in a position to have all the time needed to devote to this project. So, this brings us to what can be expected? Pretty much anything, but mainly my take on the current goings on; tech tips for those looking for online and mobile privacy, but don’t know where to begin; as an avid reader, a weekly or monthly suggested reading list; shit posting as needed, weekly meme drops, and whatever other clown world nonsense inspires me.

What motives me?

So why did I decide after 2 decades to finally attempt this? The reason is two-fold, one selfish, one selfless. First the selfish, which brings us to the earlier mention of ‘life happening’ leading to this. Back in October (2021), my employer made me face a decision, one that nobody should EVER have to make, but that an untold number were forced into in the past year or so. As I could not accept the sacrament of the Church of Covid, I was terminated and disqualified for unemployment. So 10 months later, I need to make a living as savings are gone. Will this pay the bills? Who knows. But that’s the plan. I really am not trying to put myself back into the system that stole my livelihood, so this is me ‘going Galt’. My skills and talents are too valuable for a society that does not value competence and determination. Counter-economics is the future. Which brings us to my #Griftmas sales pitch (because we all gotta eat). I will be working with the #Value4Value model as much as this platform allows (currently only seems to be able to have preset subscription charges).

Actually very simple. The listener is asked to share with them the value they get from listening to the podcast. In most cases this means paying an amount, this can be one-off or structural in nature. But alternative contributions are also welcome. Like designing a cover for a podcast episode. Or help with developing the platform. But also sharing newsworthy facts.’

I cannot determine what this is worth to you. Only you can. Nothing will ever be pay-walled. Its open to everyone. All I can ask is that if you find any value, and would like to help a fellow pleb live a dream, please give what you you choose, or give nothing at all. Perhaps just $1 is more fitting. Better to have 1 than none. And every penny will be greatly appreciated. Now for the selfless part. I’ve always been driven to help others see through the fog of bullshit called geopolitics. Its recently come to me that simply re-posting the work of others on social media is not enough and I should really be putting in actual work myself. I want people to wake up. Do I know everything? Impossible. Am I always correct? No. But I do not and will not ever purposely mislead anyone. I’ve walked in The Dark as a youth, and now come out to the light mostly unscathed and I feel I have a unique perspective on the minds of madmen, and with that I feel I can help people understand The Dark better and how to navigate this spiritual war we face.
