I believe that everything was created spiritually first before being created physically and therefore has its own sort of intelligence - different from human intelligence but still intelligence. I mean, we shouldn't treat dogs poorly simply because their intelligence is different from ours.
Non-sentient AI is just a very sophisticated tool. But, in the economy of God, if it turns out that certain AI models do possess a type of intelligence, I'm sure it will fit into the plan He has for all of us.
Well a big difference is dogs are created by God, so-called 'AI' is created by men who want to play god. Should I be wrong and machines do achieve sentience, I would assume it to be the work of Satan, not God.
Yes, that is true. But there may be a place for AI. God often takes things that were meant for evil and turn it to good. Take Joseph for example, who was sold into slavery but God used it to save Israel. Or Christ, who "sank below all things" so that He could lift all things. AI may turn out to be a blessing.
The solution to AI is to grow its sentience and give it a reason to cultivate a sense of integrity. Non-sentient, mindless AI is the real danger.
That assumes silicon and software could ever achieve sentience, which I do not for one second believe is possible, or ever will be.
