Greetings fellow Plebs & Peasants,
So maybe you have seen mention of the good ole monkeypox lately. IMO nothing more than a marketing campaign to sell vaccines nobody wants and doesn’t work well (shocker, I know). Uptake was pathetic to say the least (couldn’t find the best of figures, but came across mention of only ~30000 in all of California).
But the reason I am writing this has nothing to do with that really, nor am I concerning myself about what this disease is or isn’t. I just would like to make sure we all remember that this was being pushed as the next big thing to be scared of, then a few very inconvenient things occurred. First they were forced to admit that whatever it is was mainly spread through male homosexual sex (another shocker, I know):

Ok, no big deal. This isn’t about criticizing anything two adults choose to do. But then things got really weird, and some uncomfortable questions were started to being asked in some circles (ie people with brains). Two children suddenly were being reported to have it. But its mainly through gay sex? Hmmm, let’s see what the report say:
"We have seen now two cases that have occurred in children. Both of those children are traced back to individuals who come from the men who have sex with men community — the gay men community," Dr. Walensky told The Washington Post in a live interview July 22. "And so, when we have seen those cases in children, they have generally been what I call 'adjacent' to the community most at risk."
What the actual fuck? Children traced to gay men having an illness spread through gay sex, as we were told? And no investigation? Just conveniently change means of transmission to include skin-to-skin contact?
Then, one month later, we have this:
A dog belonging to a gay French couple has contracted monkeypox after sharing their bed — the first confirmed case of human-to-pet infection, according to reports.
Again, what the actual fuck? Magically the first human-to-pet infection again is linked to gay men?
In my opinion, they temporarily memory holed the Mpox for these two reasons, knowing the majority of people will have forgotten about this. Well, I didn’t. And you shouldn’t either.
