"The printing press literally advanced humanity because it undermined religion!"- The guy who said that knows it was religion that subverted totalitarian control of a system dressed as a religion right? State altar, prayer altar? What's the difference when it's the pope or the king you are bowing to. We're supposed to bow to nobody except God. Anyone else asking you to do so is not of God, they just have a God complex. Just my two cents. Excellent post as usual. ๐๐
I believe what this person who wrote the post is saying is that organized religion is itself a totalitarian control system, particularly back the state and the church were attached at the hip. The printing press allowed people to finally read the Bible themselves instead of hearing the words of those who would twist Scripture for their own wicked ends.
Definitely religion subverted religion by people first being brave enough to acknowledge their priest were lying to them. My Mom said if the preacher doesn't say stuff that lines up it's not anything but a scam. They had to acknowledge they were getting scammed first. They felt it. They were doubting and questioning and had to get receptive to even obtain the Gutenberg Bible, thank God they did too. Hopefully people can get to that point again so people of the future aren't asking why did they take it for so long?
I'm still reading this but I had to comment. A quote I keep hearing in my head - "He who has to break a thing to understand it, has left the path of wisdom." - Gandalf This quote speaks of the "cultural revolution" to me, but really the breaking of everything of value. People, relationships, moral dignity, lives, and livelihoods.
Yea, thatโs pretty much it. Destroy all cultural norms, traditions etc, leave people with no attachment to anything except the system. Order out of chaos
Well said. The left want a mommy, the right want a daddy. The rest of us want to be left to our liberty. The system has supplanted the family. A treacherous and deeply dysfunctional one.

Great stuff, as usual! Your posts are often in my head as I dream up content for my Haman Nature show and 'stack.
Thanks for all you do!
Thanks, I really appreciate that.
