You might be asking yourself, who is this guy to offer any health advice or why should I even consider it? You shouldn’t. But, I am a guy who has not had even a stuffy nose in 12-13 years. I am a guy who has only ever been truly been sick a handful of times in my 46 years on Earth. No flu. No chickenpox. No measles. No typical childhood illnesses (and most are NOT due to vaccinations, I only ever received the DTP plus required booster). And contrary to popular belief, there are many of us who never had ‘covid’ and many are the same who took zero to little precautions, including taking care of my vaxx’d and covid postive roommate when she was very ill last autumn. I am just a guy who knows what works for me (n=1), and we are all different. One size NEVER fits all, especially when it comes to health.

That said, while I regularly do 24 hour water fasts (incredibly easy once to consider your sleep time in that window) and every couple months with do a broth/fat fast (still easy since there is caloric intake, benefits occur from lack of insulin response). But lately I have been having digestion issues, that after trying various methods (beef only elimination diet aka The Lion Diet, the previously mentioned 24hr and broth fasts) to fix it, to no avail. I have been left to conclude it stems from 7 years of 12 hour overnighht shifts, forcing me to eat in the middle of the night and knocking circadian rhythms all out of whack. So, tough times call for tough measures. Last night (8/24/22) at 8pm was that last food I will consume until Monday morning/afternoon. I prepared by consuming close to 5000 calories yesterday, so hopefully that will head with the lightheadesdness I am expecting by tomorrow. And for once has a real goo dnight’s sleep, so, hopefully I have the will power to last the whole weekend (not smoking pot and getting the munchies is definitely going to help).
As to what my exact regiment is going to be, water, decaf coffee, green tea, pink himalayan salt and magnesium supplements only (I already shed electrolyles and other vital minerals due to low very body fat and a very low carb diet, so this part will be tricky). Fortunately I am fresh out of butter so that won’t temp me (yes, I am known to eat butter on its own. No, its not unhealthy). So, as I write this, I am appoximately 16 hours and 40 minutes into this already. So far so good, although I would expect no issues at this point being I regularly try keep a 2pm to 10pm (give or take) eating window. So wish me luck, and I will post updates should I feel anything I am feeling related to this fast is worth mentioning.
