I’m struggling to understand the symbolism of the Jesus meme. What aspect of “back the blue” is being called out by casting them as accusers of Jesus? Or maybe there is some other implication of this meme that I am missing. To be clear, I’m not offended, I just don’t get it.

I should add, that meme is sort of a summation of the underlying philosophy of Christian Anarchism, which if you are interested, these are two good blogs on this ideology

Haha yea its a pair of words most arent used to seeing side by side, mostly due to anarchism in general getting a bad reputation with its erroneous conflation with groups like antifa and other violent aggitators. But yea give em a look. It will all start to make sense after an article or two.

The whole police and police apologists who say things like 'if he only obeyed the law, he wouldnt have been shot' when cops gun down unarmed people. So, in this case, the message is if Jesus only listened to the Pharissees, he wouldnt have been put on the Cross
